Yin yoga offers a slower paced, more passive practice. Seated and supine postures that incorporate longer holds (typically between 3-5 minutes), create more focus on the deep connective tissues and joints. Poses are often supported by props to allow for release and relaxation in the body. Meditative in nature, Yin yoga gives space to turn inward, tuning into both the mind and the physical sensations.
